The snakebyte PS3© Blu-Mote is the first 3rd party native Bluetooth remote control. The two online magazines Nexgam.de and Gameradio.de took the handy remote to the test and came up with outstanding results:
Gameradio.de:
”The most significant difference between both models (N.B.: snakebyte vs. Sony) is visible when viewed from the side: snakebyte gave its remote a much more ergonomic shape.”
”Like the Sony model the snakebyte PS3© Blu-Mote does not require a dongle and communicates directly with the console via Bluetooth. Unlike infrared, you won’t have to aim the remote directly at the console. ”
”With its PS3 Blu-Mote, snakebyte offers a great alternative to the Sony remote on store shelves.”

Nexgam.de:
”Nice appearance. The device feels light in your hand and the buttons are almost evenly distributed across the entire length of the remote.”
”This is already a visual advantage to the original Sony remote which wastes about one third of its length on unused space.”
”The Blu-Mote communicates via Bluetooth with the PS3© which means that you can navigate your console from almost anywhere in the room, even if your view might be blocked by obstacles. The snakebyte multimedia device responds immediately to commands and no delays were detected.”
”The bottom line is that the Blu-Mote is definitely worth a look. And when it comes to appearance: The remote control clearly has an edge over the Sony remote.”
